20 hours ECE, WINZ & Childcare Subsidies

The Government provides subsidies to fund the cost of children aged 3-5 years to attend early childhood education (ECE) for up to 20 hours a week. This funding is called 20 Hours ECE and is available for up to six hours a day for children in approved programmes, like Te Mata Kids.

Childcare Subsidy may be available if you need and are entitled to extra hours on top of 20 Hours ECE.
